Louisville Wedding Photography Tips

By: Denise Nichols

1. Lighting is crucial in photography and weddings are no exception. Natural light is the best. Avoid harsh flourescent lighting.

2. Instead of displaying one large wall portrait, turn a hallway or large wall in your home into a mini art gallery by displaying two or more photographs in a grouping.

3. For a modern look, use canvas or standout mounts for photographs instead of a traditional frame and mat.

4. Do a "first look" between bride and groom before the ceremony. This can be a great private moment between the two of you and relieve some pre-ceremony jitters.

5. After the "first look", do all of your formal photographs before the ceremony, which will save time afterwards. Then, after the ceremony, you can go straight to the celebration!
